Worklist:
Make and fit front screen for storage rack.
Investigate options for disposing of old transition boards.

Firstly, a wooden batten was selected, cut to length and holes to cover the frame bolts drilled. The back of the batten was then pseudo-milled with a forstner drill bit to receive three rectangular magnets, which were epoxied into place. Self-adhesive Velcro strips were fitted at the bottom of the frame sides.

SPARE BOARDS

On the top of the storage frame is where the four transition boards are stored. These were made for the extended layout at the time when we thought the layout wouldn't fit in the workshop. These boards extended the original four board format by turning it through 180 degrees and allowed the two new boards to be erected and operated running down the far side of the workshop in a 'J' shape. When it was discovered that all 6 boards could be erected in a straight line, the transition boards were redundant, and taking up space. These are now offered free of charge to anyone who can make use of them. The track fitted is mainly Peco 0-16.5 on cork underlay, but the boards alone would save someone time starting a new layout in any scale/gauge.

No contact details are given at present to allow those who know us first opportunity.

Board layout as designed.

The boards can also be assembled in a different configuration which is more suited to a smaller exhibition layout.
