The TV aerials are made from silver steel wire and are soldered onto flat steel plates. The plates snap onto magnets built into the chimney stacks which allows them to be removed and stored in a separate box. We were advised that the earliest X frame could only receive the BBC whereas the later H designs were able to receive BBC & ITV and are fitted to the poshest cottages!
